Home Inspection reveals improper furnace repair in Northfield, MN

This repair is simply poor in quality.  The plastic butter tub is a poor material to be used on an appliance that generates significant heat, as is the duct tape that is holding it together.  A better repair would have been a piece of sheet metal with metal cutting screws to hold it.
